About Repair Cards

Home

Repair Cards (v1) are aimed at supporting groups and communities to start a conversation about repair cultures, practices, economies and aesthetics.

The cards emerge from the work of Repair Acts, a pluralistic artist-led, research group that is based at the University of the West of England. Established by the artist-researcher Teresa Dillon in 2018 to date the group has worked with a number of artists, academics, designers, activists, policy makers and citizens on fostering repair, care, maintenance and healing cultures. Key projects to date include The Repair Acts, Network (with Prof Caitlin De Silvey, University of Exeter and Toxics Links, India), My Square Mile (with Carmel Pietrangelo), TALES OF CARE AND REPAIR (with Toxic Links, and Gambiologia, Brazil) and Repair Acts, Ireland (with Dr. Alma Clavin, University College Dublin and Westmeath County Council).
